DON'T INSTALL THIS COMPONENT IT IS PART OF CORE, INSTALLING IT AGAIN WILL CRASH YOUR WEBSITE
Select a post background from pre-defined backgrounds.
This component is tested on Ossn v5.2 GoBlue theme
NOTE IF CHARACTERS ARE MORE THAN 125 IT WILL CONSIDER A NORMAL POST WITH BACKGROUND
1.2
- User can now reset background by clicking brush again.
1.3
- Fixes the post edit more than 125 characters
1.4
- Change colors for dark background. You can change it in ossn_com.php
Great component.
I found one issue, when I "Share" the post, the background disappears, but the content gets posted. Please try to fix this. Thank You.
If I have the OSSN premium package script, and I deleted the OssnPostBackground component, would it crash my site if I uploaded this post background component into my components list and enabled it?
The component is part of core and hence your website crashed, delete PostBackground from your components folder not OssnPostBackground. I'll disable this component from community.
Just question: Not sure why you installed blindly when you have this feature already in your website?
Crashed my entire site when enabled. I am running version 5.6 Running default GoBlue theme.
Is there an availabilty to input image backgrounds like facebook uses?
Kindly disregard my earlier request... I found the issue. I was running an older version of PHP, and everything was fixed once I moved to v7.4.
When I enable any version of this component I lose the ability to "like" posts, add pictures to comments, edit posts/comments and I get the following in my error log:
[21-Aug-2020 02:42:50 America/NewYork] PHP WARNING: 2020-08-21 02:42:50 (EDT): "Constants may only evaluate to scalar values" in file /home/vetsspace/publichtml/components/PostBackground/ossn_com.php (line 57)
I've not customized my OSSN in any way. I'm running version 5.4.
Any suggestions on what might be wrong?
