I am using Hostgator VPS server for hosting and while setup I am getting a 500 internal server error.
Previously was getting a error for mod url rewrite and error for package installation but now it is ok and i solved both.
Once I run the setup with hostname and database details then its throwing 500 internal server error.
In my error log I found this.

Try to create a file called DISPLAY_ERRORS in installation directory and try again.

But yes I followed the complete procedure I had done the same with php5.5 version but as you told I tried it with php7 but this is not working for me yet I am facing 500 internal server error.
on this step I am getting error
ossn/installation/?page=account
my db is getting installed but 500 internal server is again reflecting.
