Profile Images and Post Images Not Displaying

Jeremy Monroe Posted in Technical Support 7 years ago

I am not sure why this started happening. But I am having somewhat of the same issue as the other poster about http/https except, I am not using https. It's a fresh reinstall today because I thought that may help but no change.

I do notice that now there is a data folder, datatmp, datauser folder as opposed to previous versions using just the specified data folder with the subfolders under it.

Using version 4.4 and have OSSN installed for 3 different sites. This is the only one doing it for some reason. The config files all are mapped the same /home/userfolder/dataforsite

Zetman, my autocorrect put German. Es tut mir Leid. I wasn't being sarcastic mein freund. I was saying i don't think it's a bug so I did not want to put up a false report and make support staff or Arsalan think something is wrong with the script. I'm trying not to inconvenience anyone. My response was purely meant as respectable and not to be taken as it was. Dankeschon.

Sorry, I thought you were interested in solving your problem instead of starting that sort of quibbling. We have some terms you subscribed to when registering to this forum, but if you're not willing to provide the necessary details mentioned on that "How to report a bug" page I'm the last one to disturb you with any further recommendations.

German, thanks for the input but who's to say it's a bug? That's why I've only bothered posting on the forum. Don't want to make a "bug report when I think it's something to do with my installation. I have 2 more sites built with OSSN and those are fine.

Not working again. Not sure why it keeps doing this. Tried the permissions again but didn't work this time.

It's working now. I went back and reapplied permissions 755 on the datauser folder and it's displaying images now. Very odd. but working so far.

Its something with this instance of the script. I can replace the images fine for the logo of the theme and backgrounds. I can also upload an image and access it directly via url. The other 2 instances of OSSN that is running are working 100%.

1.Did you tried to upload a small image? of few kb?
2.Can you share your website? as there may be possibilities your computer isn't allowing to upload file.

Self Hosted using Cpanel.
/home/jmonroe/data folder
/home/jmonroe/public_html/www/sitename

Same ownership for data and public directory. 755 on data directory
