"No one is online" message with more users loged in

Ronald Arns Posted in Technical Support 7 years ago

I use the free version of OSSN
When more than one user is logged in the message "No one is online" on the right doesn't change.
I have tried a refresh, but the message doesnt change.

With regards,
Ronald

Having in mind that the basic concept of the Chat component is to allow chatting with friends only, the list on the right side (which in fact is part of the Chat component) consequently shows a list of your friends only and not a list of anyone else.

You may install the "Who is online" component in order to see a list of ALL online members.

Can you please tell me how to change "No one is online" (friends online only) to show anyone who is online - not just friends? Thank you!!

Admittedly this message is a little misleading.
You can change it in the file components/OssnChat/locale/ossn.en.php
to 'No friends online' or whatever you prefer.

I'll make a pull request to change it in future versions of Ossn.

Solved the issue myself. Only your friends are vissable as online.
Not too smart from myself. :-(
