Open link in a new tab & email notification

Is it possible than if we have a link into a post to automatically open it in a new tab ?
Also will be nice if we can get a notification email when we're not connected and have new post from friends ?

ps: did I have something more to do for the french lang ?

Agreed that external links should open in new tabs, or windows if tabbed viewing is not supported by a browser.
