I see on the newsfeed there is the option to tag friends, from what I can tell its a Jquery script. Where is this located, what file has this script been inserted into? Could it be incorporated into the groups?

well, that file is in components/OssnWall/plugins/default/js/ossn_wall.php (it's javascript code if you actually look in the file, I think it's just named .php for easy inclusion purposes). what you want to do with it won't work though, you can't just "move the javascript to the groups page" - I'm pretty sure it's actually already included there.
Due to the many requests in the past for additonal features and components we have decided to develope a premium version. Features like Hashtags, Videos, Polls, Events, Stories, Link Preview, etc included in it.
