Whenever I edit a post or comment and save it, this is what happens.
This only begun with 5.1. Before that, I always got send to the post in question.

Yeah, I had forgotten about that change. But I didn't know it had anything to do with gifs. In fact, I'm already using that component (which was the reason that I updated to 5.1 to begin with). I've told the developer and he will take a look at it.
And indeed, changing it back fixed the problem. The only thing is that when you edit a post, the change isn't shown until you refresh the page. In 5.0 you didn't have to if I remember it correctly.
Please next time if something wrongs try to restore the original files and report here, (you may edit css) but if you modify php files restore it.
For gifs one can use : https://www.opensource-socialnetwork.org/component/view/3456/animated-gif-support
The problem with 'comment edit' resolving to a white page is solved by restoring the original ossncom.php. Components/OssnComments/ossncom.php
The edit to said file allows gifs in the comments but creates that other problem for you.
Yes, I used this thing in order to make pictures not shrink in the comment section: https://www.opensource-socialnetwork.org/discussion/view/2951/clicking-on-images-in-comments-fancybox
I will pass this information along.
Edit post is working fine as i tested on your site and after verification it appeared some of the files are modified by you that is causing the issue when editing the comments. Like the OssnComponents files .
I found the form. Information sent. Please send me the fix when it's done so I don't have to wait for 5.2.
@ Arsalan: I have amended as per https://github.com/opensource-socialnetwork/opensource-socialnetwork/issues/1506.
I can confirm that the edit of posts now works correctly.
Thank you
No, I have not changed anything. It all started when Softlab updated my site from 5.0 to 5.1.
Which contact form? The one at Softlab?
@Steven i can see that on demo indeed your issue is correct. for some reason the system is not treating the response as valid JSON response. https://github.com/opensource-socialnetwork/opensource-socialnetwork/issues/1506 fixes your issue.
Regarding @Johannes issue, its completely different as his post/comment edit taking him to new page as i already mentioned the reason in my previous reply to him,
I have just testing same in the DEMO version at https://www.opensource-socialnetwork.org/demo
the same problem is occurring...
I enter text, post it, it saves correctly and displays...
I then edit it.. save it and it does not show except as a blank....until I do a browser (Firefox) refresh manually.
Due to the many requests in the past for additonal features and components we have decided to develope a premium version. Features like Hashtags, Videos, Polls, Events, Stories, Link Preview, etc included in it.
