Any chance you could develope an .iso or VM to run on ProxMox using Linux. That would be awesome. I have been trying to install and configure a server with all kinds of little problems, that are difficult to find good answers for, they either don't apply or are out dated documents that leave out steps or don't work under the new version of Ubuntu 18.04

Try to look details in /var/www/html/configurations/ossn.config.db.php
There is no mcrypt required for latest version of OSSN.
I followed the script a couple of remarks I found
1. when it created the phpmyadmin it gave it no permissions on the data base
2. it also installed php7.2 without installing mcrypt
I followed these instruction to install mcrypt
https://lukasmestan.com/install-mcrypt-extension-in-php7-2/
both mcrypt and Curl show installed and enabled
I still have a white screen
but over all very nice, thanks for the help thus far, can you assist with blank where screen

When I used the script it worked awesome, one problem though, it created phpmyadmin but gave it no permissions to create databases, how do I give it the needed permissions
Keith
Does all this need is a fresh copy of Ubuntu 18.04 or does it need to have appache2, php and mariadb already installed and running
Thank you for the prompt reply
See https://www.opensource-socialnetwork.org/download-vm-image besides its based on v14.x i think. Did you tried : https://github.com/themattbook/ossninstaller ?
