Website not accessible

Olmack Aposo Posted in Technical Support 5 years ago

Hi,
My website is not accessible from the outside of my local network,
Iam using wamp, and the server is working just fine from the outside.
i can open the website on the local network localhost, 127.0.0.1 or 192.168.x.x, but if someone tries to open it from my externel ip address it redirect him to 192.186.x.x, i tried changing the url in the config address but that just redirect me to my router config page.

Come on Olmack,
your site is working perfectly from outside now - I was even able to create an account and I can see we're 4 members.
And right there our support stops. We're not here to solve any local router address resolving issues, please understand.

even from my phone i get this error , and yes i can access it outside my network but not when im connected through my router,
And if i just go to meandme.ddns.net from any device on my network it'll redirect me to my router page too

Yes, because your browser cache is still keeping that old and wrong address.
It's working fine from here now. Well done!

Looks like you're still keeping that local IP in configurations/ossn.config.site.php ?!?
As I said: it has to be

$Ossn->url = 'http://meandme.ddns.net/web/ossn/';
German Michael Zülsdorff Replied 5 years ago

Yep, and accessing the currently set dynamic IP gives
enter image description here

that is: at least your link pointing to ossn is wrong
it must not be **http://meandme.ddns.net/web/**
but
**http://meandme.ddns.net/web/ossn/**

As I already said, these are general server configuration issues and you need to get help from some webserver communities.

Aside from that: It's strongly recommended not to run OSSN on a Windows server, because you will run into all kind of other issues sooner or later.

Thank you ,
but i tried this url http://meandme.ddns.net/web2 from outside my network and it works just fine, except the folder that contain the ossn website , my wamp server is working i think.
the thing is that instead http://meandme.ddns.net/web2/ossn it redirects you to 192.168.1.30/web2/ossn which is my lan ip
