Agree with Arsalan. Than you will have to moderate every single post. But, Simple one, such as Bold, Italic. That will be ok. Adding feature such as "Allow change text color for certain groups" would be a plus.

I believe WYSIWYG will mess up the wall very much and no website administrator wanted to see a different types of posts appearing some with large heading some with small. That is why core OSSN wall didn't have such a thing.
Its just my opinion lets see what other says?,
