Making Groups for private no longer can make password.Has this been changed on purpose?

Password there has never been only private and public makes yes also sin in private it goes only about invite and then hope that he says yes and reinwill in the group

found it thanks z. Arsalan Shah ansered it in comments. group invite 1.1 no longer has invite
now user needs to 1) click group, 2) find name of group in list, 3) ask to join

also side panel groups used to show users as a choice, don't know if this maters.
