I created a public group but anyone wanting to use it has to ask for access.
To make it more useful, it should have options that allow to make it fully public, public by requesting access, closed by invite only, closed with request for access and hidden, by invite only.
Is it correct that even public requires requesting access or am I not finding the settings to do these things?

You may edit topbar and add any button for non loggedin users

Got it. I didn't know anything could be seen on FB without being logged in.
Maybe I can change the Login button on top to show Login / Signup instead?

Yes its like fb they can see contents but cannot not post or likes
In closed group they can not see content either
