I tried to message someone that wasn't online and it did nothing it wouldn't send the message.
I have found that if the send button is to close to the bottom of the page it won't send so if I scroll up a little it will...I apologize again for not checking it out further before posting.
Just got me an account (zetboy) at http://www.ourcommunitychat.com/,
switched to David Orwig's profile (who was/is OFFLINE),
and sent him a message. No problem (running Win8/Firefox latest).
Anything different at your side? The offline member you're trying to leave a message to: is he a friend? David's not. At least not in your community. :)
I am sure some non core component causing issue. Check JS logs using browser developer tools,
The Message window opens when I click the Message button then I type the message but when I click on the Send button it does nothing the message is not sent.
Just tried that:
1. Logged on to demo.opensource-socialnetwork.org (as admin)
2. created a new user "zetman" password "zetman" from back end
3. moved to zetman's profile page (zetman of course IS still offline)
4. clicked the "Message" button
5. sent him a greeting.
No problem
6. Logged in as zetman
7. got a 'new message' notification - and the message from admin was shown
Please, provide some more details:
- Does the message window not open when you click "Message" ?
- Or does it open but the message can't be sent?
