Update from 1.8 to 2.0 failed

Well, the update from 1.8 to 2.0 failed.

I removed all folder except configuration folder and then uploaded the unzipped-files to the site.

This was the result after I run the update.php:

A system error has occurred. Please try again later. You may email the details of this error to the system administrator at xxxxxxx.

What now?
Kind regards,

(P.S. - of course I did a backup before ;-)

Yes, the strange bubble is gone, all looks fine with v 2.2!

Thank you,
Sally

Had that strange bubble at my first try this morning, but now it seems to be gone. Hmmm ... (Using latest Firefox on Win7)

disabling/enabling cache seems to solve the problem. However, here is a screenshot attached.

Try to disable cache and if it works try to enable it again.

Also a screenshot would be highly appreciated.

Ok, but the pop-up window blocks the status-box....

at least I would like to disable the pop-up notification until the 'Mark all as read' ticket is solved!

Indonesian Arsalan Shah Replied 10 years ago

@Sally, we have ticket related to notifications 'Mark all as read' already opened.

@Zet, i first installed 1.8 then upgrade to 2.2 posts are working, after that i installed v2.2 alone and posts are working on it too.

It php 5.4 issue with json_encode()

German Sally Kirtomy Replied 10 years ago

php 5 version looks better! Comment works now.

However, now a pop windows likes to show me all the notification... does not stop doing this. How can I set all notification to 'read' in the database?

Thank you,
Sally

I don't think PHP is the problem:
Older status posts made on 1.8 are still in place,
only those ones made on 2.2 are partly hidden (=> icon and user name ok, post completely missing)
(Comments are working BTW)

You have to switch to php 5.4, if status posts are not appearing

Problem 2 (when trying to log off a message appears: 'the action you requested is invalid'.) was caused by the 'Facebook-Theme'. After switching to default them the error disappeared.
